MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the Red Wing Basketball Association (RWBA) is to
enhance the physical and emotional development of all players
through competition, teamwork, sportsmanship, and fair play.
PLAYERS ARE EXPECTED TO:
• Attend practices and tournaments at the designated times
• Be respectful of teammates, coaches, fans, officials,
and opponents.
• Represent themselves and Red Wing in a positive manner.
• Participate in fundraising events.
PARENTS ARE EXPECTED TO:
• Set a positive example by respecting players, officials,
and coaches.
• Put the emotional and physical well being of their child
above all else.
• Allow the coaches to coach and the players to play.
• Always remember the game is for the kids. This is a
competitive basketball program and playing time will
decided by the coaches. Coaches will consider player’s
attitude, attendance at practices, ability, and the score
when making decisions regarding playing time.
• The Association is a volunteer organization and all
parents are expected to help with fundraising and
tournaments hosted by Red Wing.
• Make sure kids attend practices and games.
Transportation is the responsibility of parents,
not the association or the coaches.
• Be supportive of your player and their team.
Remember it is your job during the game as well
as off the court.
