The Red Wing Swim Club (RWSC) offers a clinic to introduce swimmers to the sport of competitive swimming. Skills to be worked on will be stroke technique, turns and dive starts. The RWSC seeks to provide an opportunity for all swimmers to reach their highest potential as athletes through positive coaching and a team atmosphere. Swimmers should be able to swim front crawl, with rhythmic breathing and back crawl for 25 yards (one pool length).
Clinic is offered in the fall and spring for two weeks.
The club offers a swim clinic in the fall and spring each year for new swimmers to learn the fundamentals of competitive swimming. If you missed the clinic and are thinking about joining the Red Wing Swim Club for the first time, please contact head Coach Tom Fuchs at 651-437-8498. He will help you determine when is a good time to come in and try out the swim team. Some general guidelines to swim on a competitive swim team, you must be able to complete one length of the pool front crawl and back crawl. Also, you should have a good idea on how to rhythmic breathe while swimming front crawl.
Returning members of the Red Wing Swim Club, please print out and complete the registration form.
