Red Wing Athletic Association

Red Wing defeated New Ulm 3:2, followed by a victory over Mankato 6:0 before heading into the championship game against #1 seeded Northfield.  Red Wing swiped the win for the district championship 3:1.  Tyler McGrath played in goal for Red Wing acquiring her 13th shutout for the season.  The 12U team moves on to the National region tournament March 2 - 4, in Waseca.

Pool play consisted of a win against Rogers - 9:0, followed by a win to Forest Lake - 4:2, ending with a win against Crow River- 2:0.  The championship game was played against Forest Lake where RW lost 6:2 to end up with the 2nd place finish.

The Girls' youth hockey program made goodies, cards and posters to send their wishes to our troops in Kuwait this Christmas season.  Major Eric DiNatale is serving his fifth deployment this year.  He is the father of two youth hockey players in our program: Sophie (12U) and Eliza (10U).   Thank You servicemen for all that you do for our wonderful country!!  We appreciate you.

Red Wing 12U Girls Win Anoka Tournament

Red Wing 12U girls participated in the Anoka Tournament this weekend, Dec. 4 - 5.  They took the win over North Metro 3:2 to begin their tournament play.  They followed with a win against Highland Central 2:0.  Red Wing came out with the win against Anoka for the championship 2:1.  Tyler McGrath played in goal for the Winger girls this weekend.
