It's been a long week with a lot of ball.  The kids have definitely earned a break so we will NOT be practicing this Friday after school.  Enjoy the weekend!

STATE BOUND!!!!

Congratulations Rockets for taking 2nd place in our home tourney!!  You played hard and earned every bit of it.  This also qualified us for the MBT State Tourney which will be held in Bloomington later this summer.  (More details to follow on that)

Even though RW's bats were a little off tonight, we still had our share of big hits.  2 doubles by Zach, 1 by Bear and a triple by Jack led the way.  The real highlight  though came via the Rocket's pitchers!  Marcus, Bear and Jack combined for 8 Prescott strikeouts and held them to only 23 plate appearances in 5 innings.  This weeks 3-0 record has put the Rockets at the top of the standings in league play.

The Rockets blasted the ball around in their 1st lopsided win of the season, winning 15-5 in 5 innings.  7 different Rockets had multiple hits in a game that also saw its fair share of extra base hits...doubles by Mac, Marcus, Jack and Isaac; triples by Carson and Christian; and Zach added an inside the park HR!

A team from Hudson has contaced me and would love to come down for a night game under the lights.  I have scheduled this scrimmage for Mon. June 11th, 8:00 on Ath #1.
