Swim Club

RWSC Mission Statement

The Red Wing Swim Club offers competitive swimming to the children in the Red Wing and surrounding areas. We provide an opportunity for our members to learn competitive swimming techniques and conditioning in an attempt to develop young people with good moral and emotional character.
Participation encourages our members to set goals and strive to achieve them while competing in an atmosphere conducive to enhancing self-esteem, good sportsmanship, and hard work, all taking place in a safe and positive environment.

RWSC basic requirements and Free Trial information

The Red Wing Swim Club (RWSC) offers a FREE two week trial to allow new swimmers to experience the sport of competitive swimming to see if it is a good fit.  Stroke technique as well as turns and dive starts are the primary focus for our introductory (Bronze) group. The RWSC seeks to provide an opportunity for all swimmers to reach their highest potential as athletes through positive coaching and a team atmosphere. Swimmers should be comfortable in the water and be able to easily swim 25 yards (1 length) of the pool of Freestyle (Front Crawl) and Backstroke (Back Crawl).

The trial is offered during the first 4 weeks of each season.
